PhenomElite News Scroller

Get Street Cred! Step into the zone! So you think you have what it takes to compete with the top junior & senior players in the nation? Then get on the roster for the 1st Annual Phenom Elite Camp. It's an Exposure Camp Phenomenon that follows the tradition of the original Jr. Phenom Camp.

The TOP 150 rising junior & senior players in the 2009 and 2010 categories for Boys will take to the hardwood in San Diego July 9-12, 2009.

The Phenom Elite Camp brings a 20-year tradition of high school all-star camps to the grassroots level, providing valuable instruction, and a platform for many college and NBA players of tomorrow. Additionally, the camp is NCAA certified (live period). What is that you ask? The NCAA Live Period is an evaluation period where college coaches are able to scout potential college recruits off campus. It allows college coaches to attend NCAA sanctioned events. Coaches are able to watch campers participate in games and stations and evaluate their play. This is one of many ways that college coaches build their recruiting lists. Please Note – College coaches are not allowed to contact any campers in any way while at camp. They are only permitted to watch and evaluate campers’ play.

Top Reasons to Attend Phenom Elite Camp...

Each Year the competition to win basketball scholarships at every level becomes more intense. Every legitimate means of gaining an edge toward securing an education and the opportunity to play at the college level is an investment in your future.

Only a handful of players win D-I scholarships each year. It is a difficult to jump from high school to college in any sport. Basketball is the most limited in terms of scholarships available.

Colleges now recruit not only nationally, but internationally, so the pool of athletes searching for scholarships continues to grow. Using NCAA figures from their own "participation rate", study and "probability of competing beyond high school", the NCAA estimates that 2.9% of HS seniors will compete at some level in college.

If our student/athletes get the message sooner rather than later about the numbers, they can positively affect what they have some control over. The keys are academics, skills training and nutrition. Winning a college scholarship is not just about ability. The quality of effort expended can and will improve your odds of success.
